China's cloud computing has entered the development period of HP, the demand for edge computing has surged, computing processing has gradually spread to the edge, and cloud-edge-end integration has become an important trend. According to the data of the "Edge Computing Market and User Insight Report (2022)" of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (hereinafter referred to as "CAICT"), the scale of China's edge computing market will reach 43.64 billion yuan in 2021, and user-side investment will continue to increase, and edge computing will strongly support the digital transformation of government and enterprises.
In order to further promote the large-scale deployment of edge computing, relying on the CCSA TC1 WG5 Working Group and CCSA TC608 of the China Communications Standards Association, led by the Institute of Cloud Computing and Big Data of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, the three edge computing industry standards jointly compiled by dozens of units jointly released and implemented in conjunction with industry, education and research were officially released and implemented, leading the development of industry standardization.
The "Internet Edge Cloud Service Trust Competency Requirements" standard stipulates the terms and definitions of edge cloud, the edge cloud service trust capability framework, enterprise attributes, capability requirements, service guarantees, etc., and applies to edge cloud service providers and standardizes relevant service capabilities.
The "Capability Requirements for Edge Node Management Solution Based on Cloud-Edge Collaboration" standard specifies the terms and definitions, edge node management framework, and capability requirements of edge node management solution based on cloud-edge collaboration, which is applicable to solution vendors providing edge node management and is used to examine the functional indicators and capabilities of the solution.
The "Distributed Cloud Global Management Framework" standard specifies the terms and definitions of the distributed cloud global management framework, the overview, framework and corresponding requirements of the distributed cloud global management framework, which is applicable to the collaborative management between the central cloud and the regional cloud, the regional cloud and the edge cloud, and the central cloud and the edge cloud in the same distributed cloud, and also applies to the collaborative management between the central cloud, between regional clouds and between the edge clouds in the same distributed cloud.
The Institute of Cloud Computing and Big Data of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology has led the project and carried out a number of edge computing standard formulation, covering edge hardware, edge computing, edge cloud, edge software and services, edge applications, edge security and other fields, building the industry's most authoritative and complete edge computing standard system, while carrying out evaluation and testing according to the standards, up to now more than 40 product/service evaluation and testing work has been completed, further promoting the high-quality development of edge computing related technologies and solutions, and building "trusted edge computing" Ecology.
